"I remember sitting on the couch with my son asleep on my chest. He'd gotten sick at daycare, so I'd picked him up early, and just like that *POOF* my workday was gone.
But what kept looping through my head wasn't the lost hours - it was a quieter, more uncomfortable realization.
If I wasn't posting on social media that week, I wasn't marketing. And if I wasn't marketing, sales slowed down. My entire business depended on me showing up constantly, recreating momentum over and over. Nothing really carried forward without me.
And this wasn't a one-off. Kids get sick. Life interrupts. The way my business was set up meant every interruption came with compounding pressure and I could see that pattern stretching out ahead of me indefinitely.
That's the moment I stopped asking "how do I do more of what I am already doing?" and started asking a different question: how do I build something that keeps working, even when I step away? That shift changed everything - not just for my own business, but for how I now help other women build theirs.
But that wasn't the only question I found myself sitting with.
As the world is shifting around us - AI changing how we work, algorithms demanding more and more of our attention, a culture of overconsumption that often leaves everyone feeling empty - I started asking myself something deeper:
